Technicolor is literally connecting homes to Hollywood


When you hear the name Technicolor, you would be right in thinking “classic Hollywood films”, but you might be surprised to know that the same company may also be sitting in your home right now in the form of a set-top box / connected home gateway.

Now the world’s number two set-top box and gateway provider to service providers, Technicolor is shipping over a whopping one million units per week. Who’d have thought? Having conquered the big screen for so many years, Technicolor is now conquering the small screen as well.

Bryan Reksten, Technicolor’s VP of Global Marketing for Connected Home, gives us the “big picture” on what the company is doing for connected homes. He also explains the secret to success in the set-top box space: service/content integration, security and delivering a consistent and reliable experience.
