Huawei has released a testing-as-a-service (TaaS) solution called TestCraft to accelerate SDN/NFV deployment.
Announced at Huawei’s 2017 Operations Transformation Forum in Hong Kong Monday, TestCraft [PDF] provides a variety of automated test models and professional services to solve traditional time-consuming and manpower issues to help customers reduce test costs and accelerate new business development.
The open telecom cloud architecture environment that telcos are moving to – an environment with multiple vendors, domains, and interfaces – is a complex one, particularly when it comes to testing reliability, performance and security. These SDN/NFV testing activities must be carried out throughout the entire network development – and using existing manual processes to perform those tests are costly.
Huawei says TestCraft is designed to handle multi-dimensional testing challenges, provide persistent service quality – even when the test scope complexity changes – and provide the cloud native agility required for frequent and complex validation requirements.
TestCraft supports full network functions and network services coverage, multiple carrier grade test domains, service life cycle support, and automation and agility.
