Indosat Ooredoo reports revenue growth of 8% for Q1 2020 YoY

Indosat Ooredoo reported its first-quarter 2020 performance today to the market. Total revenue increased by 7.9% to IDR 6.5 trillion (USD 432 million) YoY, cellular revenue increased by 10.6% to IDR 5.4 trillion (USD 359 million) YoY, and EBITDA reached IDR 2.4 trillion (USD160 million), a 10.4% improvement YoY. Cellular subscriber numbers stand at 56.2 million by end of March 2020, and Average Revenue per User (ARPU) increased to IDR 29.6 thousand (USD 1.97) from previously IDR 26.5 thousand (USD 1.76) in 1Q 2019, driven mainly by a data traffic increase of 63% YoY.

The Company ended 1Q 2020 with a total cellular customer base of 56.2 million, an increase of 5.4% over 1Q 2019 due to better product offering combined with improved.

The Company operated 133,186 BTSs as of 31 March 2020, adding 51,680 BTSs compared to last year. To date, the Company has operated 52,174 4G BTS.
