In a global first for the telecommunications industry, an online series of Network as a Service (NaaS) transformation training courses has been launched by NaaS Compass.

The initial course is an introductory NaaS Transformation Overview Course outlining the drivers for a NaaS transformation, comparison from current to future processes and an overview of the transformation steps.

The second course is the advanced NaaS Transformation Technical Course comprehensively describing NaaS framework principles, components, transition strategy and alignment with industry collaborations and standards.

The third course is the NaaS API Technical Course providing an extensive set of theoretical and practical lessons with topics including API principles and patterns, API requirements and use cases, TM Forum open-source APIs for NaaS, individual NaaS API data modelling and NaaS API best practices.

Industry NaaS pioneer Guy Lupo: “If I would have had this training when we did NaaS in Telstra I would have been able to not only accelerate our execution, but also create a repeatable and scalable on- boarding process saving months of labour and costs.”

NaaS Compass was founded by NaaS evangelist and TM Forum Distinguished Fellow Johanne Mayer to “provide CSPs with the necessary skills and methodology to accelerate and successfully transform to Network as a Service at a time when the industry has embraced the features and benefits of NaaS and needs education, information, and experienced leadership”.

Johanne Mayer added that “initial reaction to the launch of the NaaS Compass training courses from senior industry leaders has been very complimentary” and that “preparation has already begun for the next suite of NaaS accelerators.
