Ooredoo Myanmar taps Cisco to develop enterprise services

Ooredoo Myanmar and Cisco have entered an alliance that will enable the operator to offer digital enterprise services in areas such as network-as-a-service (NaaS), collaboration, cybersecurity, and training to local businesses.

Under the agreement, Cisco and Ooredoo will jointly explore potential market opportunities to advance digital transformation across all sectors in Myanmar.

The alliance between will cover the following areas.

Network: The alliance between Ooredoo and Cisco promises powerful, extensible networks with built-in integrated security, as well as centralized and remote management capabilities through enterprise offerings such as NaaS from Ooredoo.

Collaboration: The alliance will see Oordeoo bring in Cisco’s collaboration solutions (Audio, Video Conferencing, Meetings, Webex Teams, TPaaS, UCaaS) that can be flexibly deployed on-premises or in the cloud, along with its own multi-platform support to customers across the country.

Cybersecurity: Cisco and Ooredoo Myanmar will jointly work to help companies adopt the right security infrastructure to safeguard against any such attacks. This will include defensive and offensive solutions from Cisco’s Security portfolio such as Firewalls, Cisco’s Intrusion Prevention Systems, Cisco Stealthwatch and Cisco Umbrella.

Training and capability enablement: Cisco and Ooredoo Myanmar will exchange best-in-class learning resources, and leverage Cisco’s Black Belt program, to train local talent for a sustainable growth of the digital economy.
