Wanna play PC games all night long? U Mobile has a data plan for that

Malaysian operator U-Mobile has already launched initiatives for unlimited video and music offering.  Now its focus is on the PC gaming segment. Game Onz allows customers to use data for PC games without consuming their data quota.

Slightly different from the two prior offerings, Game Onz caters for PC gamers, whereby U Mobile prepaid customers can use their smartphones as a portable Wi-Fi hotspot for online gaming with unlimited data usage, especially whilst on-the-go with their laptops. With the fastest mobile network in Malaysia (says U Mobile), gamers will need not worry about online gaming frustrations such as lagging and interrupted play caused by a weak Wi-Fi or fixed broadband connection.

U Mobile has partnered with the likes of Steam, Garena and Playone Asia to offer some of the best online games today, with more in the pipeline. Games can be played on Game Onz all-day, all-night long without ever running out of data.

Being the first in Malaysia to offer Unlimited Data for PC gaming for prepaid customers, both U Mobile postpaid and prepaid customers will be able to purchase Steam Wallet Codes either by using their prepaid credits or by charging it to their monthly postpaid bills. Below is a list of selected games from Steam, Garena and Playone Asia:

  • Steam – DotA 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and Team Fortress 2
  • Garena – League of Legends and FIFA Online 3
  • Playone Asia – BlackShot and Echo of Soul

If gaming is your thing but you don’t need to go the whole unlimited hog, Game Onz comes in three packages – Game Onz 18, Game Onz 50 and Game Onz 70 with prices starting at just RM18 with unlimited Music-Onz included as a limited time offer.  U Mobile will also support buying Steam wallet codes by charging them to your postpaid bills or using prepaid credits.
