Goodbye monkeys, hello roosters: Disruptive.Asia is off for the Lunar New Year holiday

The Year Of The Monkey has come to an end (and not a moment too soon for many people), and the Year Of The Rooster kicks off tomorrow. Which means two days holiday for the Lunar New Year, and we’re going to take advantage of it for a short break from all the disruption.

Barring the occasional breaking news post, Disruptive.Asia will go quiet from now until Wednesday, February 1, when normal broadcasts will resume.

Meanwhile, thanks to each and every one of you for being here. The past year won’t go down as a favorite for many people, but two good things for us personally was the creation of this site and the reception it’s been getting. We’ve had a blast the past five months, and we have plenty of big plans for the coming year. Thanks very much for tuning in – without you we’re a bunch of middle-aged blokes with nothing better to do than post our crackpot opinions on the internet.

  1. Hey John, I think you mean “goodbye monkeys”. Still a few years until the year of the Rabbit ;-). Kung Hei Fat Choi!

  2. Bananas, you wish! “That is the most foul, cruel and bad tempered rodent you’ve ever set eyes on… it’s got a vicious streak a mile wide…”. Not to mention nasty, big, pointy teeth. Say no more 😉
