Three Group has announced a partnership with Cisco Jasper which extends Three’s capabilities in the global IoT marketplace.

From mid-2017, Three Group’s enterprise customers wanting to launch IoT services will be able to do so using Cisco Jasper’s connectivity management platform, Control  Center. Customers will be able to access Control Center locally through Three Group’s national networks, while global customers will have the option of accessing Control Center through Hue, Three Group’s mobile enabling services division.

Three Group, which is part of CK Hutchison, serves over 90 million customers across three continents.

Jarrod Nink, CEO at Hue, said the partnership represents a significant move by Three Group to extend its capabilities in the burgeoning IoT space, leveraging its global portfolio of high-speed mobile networks to the advantage of the IoT market.

“Speed, flexibility and control are key to powering connected devices on a global scale,” said Nink. “Through our global footprint of high-speed mobile networks built for mobile data, and Cisco Jasper’s powerful platform, our customers will enjoy an edge in the IoT market for years to come. This partnership will put Three at the heart of the global IoT marketplace and offers huge potential to our enterprise customers.”

The Three Group sees significant demand for the Control Center platform in all of its markets and particularly in segments such as connected cars, building security and automation, and transportation and logistics.

Beyond telecommunications, CK Hutchison operates businesses globally in the ports, retail, infrastructure and energy sectors. These sectors are rapidly seeking IoT services to streamline and improve business functionality and insight.
