According to its latest research from Hadden Telecoms Ltd there are twenty-two 5G-capable user devices so far announced, by 14 manufacturers.
Many of these devices were announced at the recent Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, thus adding to a few earlier product launches.
The devices announced so far represent different form factors, comprising smartphones (including a new “foldable” category), CPE/routers, MiFi and USB models.
Availability of these devices is expected during 2019 to support the many planned 5G commercial network and service launches achieved or expected this year. Note that some devices may be carrier-specific or geographically-limited in their availability.
