Indian telecom gear maker VVDN is planning to expand its footprint into Europe with a target of achieving revenues of $500 million in the next three years from the region.

VVDN’s Europe expansion announcement is part of its growth strategy. The company will continue to invest in further strengthening its Europe presence by creating local engineering teams, business teams, and being closer to customers.

“We are excited to bring VVDN services to OEMs and system integrators in Europe. As we continue to grow, we are constantly looking at opportunities in every market we enter,” Amit Saharan, VP- Business Development Wireless, Vision and IOT, Europe said in a statement.

Saharan said that the company sees “tremendous opportunities” in assisting customers in the networking and wireless space with solutions like access points, ONTs and network switches among others.

“Further our experience, expertise and solution accelerators in vision cameras, automotive and the cloud space will help our European customers in their next generation product design, development and manufacturing,” he added.

The company said that it intends to work with original equipment makers (OEMs) and brands in Europe to address their technology gaps in 5G telecoms, data centers, networking and Wi-Fi, vision, automotive, EV and cloud.

The company claims to have intellectual properties in these areas which it said will help enable customers to operate at scale.

“We see the European 5G market as a huge growth potential. With our strong foothold in the 5G design, testing services offerings on oRAN RU and DU along with our fronthaul, L1 Low PHY and High PHY IPs, we can help guide OEMs, telcos, test and measurement companies through the complexity of 5G product design, development and manufacturing,” Nitin Jain, VP-Business Development 5G & Datacenter, Europe said in the statement.

The Guruguram-headquartered company said that it will continue to pursue large deals in the focus domains in Europe.

VVDN serves global customers across several regions including the US, Canada, India, Vietnam, Korea, and Japan. It has ten product design and engineering centers in India, which are equipped to design and test the complete hardware and software required to develop a complete product or solution.

VVDN also has six manufacturing facilities that are located at Manesar, Gurugram, India. It was approved by the Indian government for telecom equipment and IT hardware production incentives linked schemes.

The company has supplied telecom products to Bharti Airtel in India and Rakuten through its partners in Japan. Last year VVDN inked a 5G manufacturing deal from Sterlite Technologies to make 5G radio products including small cells and macro RU.
