WeDo launches SaaS apps to combat telecom fraud

WeDo Technologies has announced the launch of a series of cloud-based SaaS applications that tackle telecom fraud.

WeDo’s new RAID.Cloud promises faster integration with existing technologies, as well as a simpler, faster, smarter approach to managing telecom fraud that takes only minutes to integrate. According to WeDo, RAID.Cloud also saves time and reduces costs with its self-service and user friendly, on-the-spot onboarding process. This is achieved through the development of several detection apps, ready to address specific fraud types, such as roaming, bypass and IRSF.

RAID.Cloud also provides apps in digital risk profiling, customer experience and crowdsourced service assurance analytics.

WeDo says that RAID.Cloud is its response to a rapidly changing telecom landscape – one where communication service providers are under increasing pressure to transform themselves, diversify, adapt to complex network systems, converge service offerings, and build partner ecosystems, all while managing an ongoing rise in outsourcing. All this has created an environment ripe for revenue leakage, while dramatically increasing the risk of fraud.

Last year, the Communications Fraud Control Association reported that fraud was costing the sector an estimated $38 billion. The trend indicates that the need for companies to take action and secure their telecom systems is greater than ever. At the same time, however, the speed at which new risks are appearing calls for more flexible and versatile solutions.

That’s where the cloud comes in, says WeDo CEO Rui Paiva.
